There’s a quiet kind of confidence that comes from walking into a space that just feels… right. That was the guiding light behind our transformation of Port Macquarie Medical Aesthetics—an award winning skin, cosmetic and aesthetic clinic in Port Macquarie. Owned by Dr Kristy Kostalas, known for her trusted hand in non-surgical treatments and client care.
From the very first consult, it was clear that this wasn’t going to be your average clinic update. This shouldn’t come as a surprise if you know Dr Kristy. She had a vision: to create a calming, beautiful space that reflected the sophistication of her work. For this renovation, we weren’t just building a fit-out. We were shaping an experience.
We approached the layout with one question: how do we make every room feel like a moment of reprieve? The goal was to balance the needs of a high-functioning medical space with the softness of a boutique retreat. That meant rethinking everything—from the way natural light filtered through sheer curtains to the tones and textures clients would see and feel before and during a treatment.
Custom joinery was introduced to create form and function in Dr Kristy’s office and treatment rooms, finished in soft timber tones and paired with brushed gold and matte black fixtures. The palette across the entire space leans warm, with layers of blush, cream and oak grounding each room.
Lighting played a major role throughout. Subtle, directional and always with intention. We wanted every detail to feel as though it had been placed with care (because it had). From the reception desk to the wall scones, each touchpoint is deliberate and crafted to create a natural ambience.

The result to our fit out is a space that’s as functional as it is refined. A place where Dr Kristy and her team can feel proud to show up to every day. For clients, it’s a welcoming retreat that reflects the care and quality of the treatments they’ve come to expect at Port Medical Aesthetic Clinic.
Sleek, sophisticated and just the right amount of fabulous. It’s everything a clinic should be.
